You can be the king, but watch the queen conquer.
Reference? What is this “reference” you speak of?
Oh god the detailing I have planned for this is gonna kill me
I tell this to everyone who comes to my table lamenting that they can’t draw. It’s a 100% learnable skill, not some magic ability you’re born with.

Stories in the Park
Submission for Neil Gaiman’s ” A Calendar of Tales” for the month of October. I loved the visual of Hazel and the djinn just sitting around in the park sharing stories, the tale about spying on the angels had to be my favorite. And any excuse to do my stylized smoke is a good one.
middle of imagination
Watercolor frame with a song from sesame street done for a family friend. I think I may have gotten a little carried away with the gold and silver gouache stardust though…
I’ve reached a point where having to start a painting over after nearly completing it is met not with anger or despair, but with a methodical determination of ‘Oh look that’s what went wrong, shame I didn’t catch it sooner. Let’s fix that up now shall we?’
I don’t know why but the realization makes me happy.

Also, you should go to this thing. I plan to, unless I am still as miserably sick as I currently feel.
I’ll have just finished an 11 hour shift at work when this starts….
Oh, what the heck. Sleep is overrated.
